Sample data: The highlighted details have not yet been taken from the workshop ERP. They are replaced automatically with the ERP data when the server is updated.
The highlighted service-provider details are unchecked. This is a translation for convenience; the German version is legally binding.
In short: we use no cookies and no tracking. Fonts and images are hosted on our own server. We only process your data when you message us, send a booking request or use the customer portal.
1. Controller

Represented by: Max Mustermann

2. Visiting the website
When you visit, our server briefly stores technical data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system. We need this to deliver the site securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
The site is hosted on a server of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin (please check) in Germany. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.
3. No cookies, no tracking
We use no cookies and no analytics or advertising services. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers this choice (“ruhrwerk-design” in local storage). It never leaves your device and is necessary for the display you asked for (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
4. Booking requests
When you send a booking request, we process the details from the form (name, phone and/or email, details of your motorcycle, preferred day and your request) to handle it and prepare the workshop order (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data is stored in our own workshop system on our server. Processed requests (confirmed or declined) are deleted automatically six months after receipt; open requests are kept until we have processed them. If a booking results, it stays in our workshop calendar like any customer appointment, and statutory retention periods apply to orders. We store the IP address only to prevent abuse and remove it after seven days.
5. Chat
In the chat we process your messages and – if you provide them – your name and email address in order to reply (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). So you can find your conversation again, your browser stores a random key in local storage (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). Conversations are deleted automatically twelve months after the last message. The IP address is removed after seven days.
6. Messages from us
We send questions and approval requests by text message or email – always triggered deliberately by a member of staff, never automatically. For text messages we use seven communications GmbH & Co. KG, Willestr. 4–6, 24103 Kiel (please check), for emails our mailbox provider, each as a processor.
7. Customer portal
To sign in to the customer portal we use the email address we have on file. You receive a sign-in link valid for 30 minutes; it is deleted completely after 30 days. In the portal we show your bikes, appointments and invoices (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
8. Map (Google Maps)
On the contact page, a Google Maps map is only loaded once you click “Show map”. Data such as your IP address is then transferred to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and possibly to the USA. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More in Google’s privacy policy.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Just write to us.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
